What it is

A lonely, down-on-her-luck waitress meets a handsome, quirky jewelry store clerk and thinks that maybe, finally, she’s met a "good guy." The more Molly gets to know Gus, the more she's intrigued by him. Yes, he's a little eccentric, but he's also incredibly sweet and considerate. Unbeknownst to Molly, this "good guy" was a brilliant astrophysicist who suffered an aneurism and has lost all of his short-term memory. Every day is a brand new day—literally—for Gus. He must navigate the world anew…and that includes his relationship with her. As Molly's love for Gus continues to grow, he discovers that he can indeed fall in love with the same woman every day. But can she see a future with a man who cannot recall their past? Remember Sunday is a touching, fun romance about life's possibilities when we "love in the moment."

similar to 50 First Dates, on;y gender roles reversed For the past year or so, HHofF has been redoing earlier movies with gender roles reversed. This is one of those. That's not saying anything negative - moviemakers do this all the time. The story line of this is similar to 50 First Dates, starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. Hey, I LOVED 50 First Dates! Both movies show what short-term memory loss can look like to the "outside world" of somebody suffering from it. One reviewer mentioned that the ending left her "hanging" (my word). I agree! At least in 50 First Dates, there was decent ending. Another movie in this same "philosophy" is The Makeover. That is just gender roles reversed from My Fair Lady with Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison. In fact, I bought the My Fair Lady DVD just to view it again, because I didn't have it in my video library. It seems to me there was another of these adaptations from an earlier movie that HHofF did too. One thing that sets HHofF movies apart from anything "Hollywood" is very little overt sexuality, very little swearing, and very little violence. If there are these aspects in the story, they are brief, or dealt with in the dialog. We don't need to see the whole act, to get the picture there was something bad happening in the story. Yes, I enjoyed this movie. March 11, 2014
