St Patrick's Day
Saint Patrick’s Day is also known as the Feast of Saint Patrick and takes place on March 17th. The day celebrates Saint Patrick, the spread of Christianity to Ireland, and Irish culture. Saint Patrick’s Day was made a Christian feast day in the 17th century and has been celebrated ever since. Today in North America many people celebrate the day by dressing up in green, eating corned beef and cabbage, and having a ton of fun. Also associated with St. Patrick’s Day is the shamrock: it is believed that Saint Patrick used the shamrock to explain the holy trinity to those unfamiliar with it.
